{"id":473,"date":"2015-09-27T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-09-27T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/droix.co.uk\/blogs\/t8-s-ota-update-for-openelec\/"},"modified":"2021-09-16T13:32:16","modified_gmt":"2021-09-16T12:32:16","slug":"t8-s-ota-update-for-openelec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/ar\/t8-s-ota-update-for-openelec\/","title":{"rendered":"T8-S OTA update for openELEC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A new firmware update for openELEC is now available for DroiX\u00ae T8-S owners. <\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <strong>changelog<\/strong> (changes in this release) include:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">VPN connections can now be created again<a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/20150930_210727_0.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-850\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/20150930_210727_0-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Add VPN option openELEC\" width=\"625\" height=\"352\"><\/a><\/span><\/li><li>Fixed a factory reset combination which could cause a device to lock in a boot loop<\/li><li>Fixed a broken section of EDID implementation that could cause a device to fail to load openELEC<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>How To Check For The Update<\/strong> (if you don&#8217;t see a notification automatically):<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Turn on your T8-S (Switch to openELEC if in Android) then scroll to the right and click on the <strong>Programs<\/strong> entry<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Open the&nbsp;<strong>OpenELEC Dev Update<br><\/strong><\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(Start here if the notification is still on your screen) <\/span><\/em><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">choose the <strong>20788 (29 Sep 15)<\/strong> build from the menu &#8211; if a more recent build is listed, try that<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Click <strong>Yes<\/strong>&nbsp;to confirm the upgrade<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The update will now download.
