Read on to find out what is new:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Included in the changes are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Share - Updated to support new versions of Android and improved features. See <a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wordpress\/droidbox-share-v2-1-180522\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> for more information.<\/li><li>Kodi - Updated to Kodi 17.6<\/li><li>IPVanish - Updated to the latest version<\/li><li>LibreELEC - Updated to&nbsp;8.2.5 (Kodi 17.6 )<\/li><li>RetroX - A great emulator system and frontend with support for many consoles.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The update method is a little different if you have previously performed an OTA update before so please read the below guide on how to do it correctly. <strong>Please backup anything on your device before doing the update.<\/strong> If you choose not to Wipe Data\/Factory Reset then you should be fine. But we advise to backup in case anything is reset or deleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the <strong>Homescreen<\/strong>, click on the Circle with six dots inside to view the full list of apps<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3827\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Navigate to the <strong>OTA Updates<\/strong> icon and choose it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-2-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3828\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Wait a few moments and the <strong>Available Updates<\/strong> should update to show a new version is available. Click on the text to proceed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-3-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3829\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A popup will appear, choose <strong>Download<\/strong> from the options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-4-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3830\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The firmware will now start to download. A blue progress bar will appear near the top of the screen. Depending on your download speed, this may take a while to download 900MB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-5-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3831\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the file has downloaded you will see a <strong>\"Finished! Ready to flash update!\"<\/strong> message. Click on <strong>Update<\/strong> to proceed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-11.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-11-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3824\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The firmware will now begin to update. <strong>Do not switch off, or press any buttons on remotes etc while the update is in process!<\/strong>&nbsp;The update can take several minutes so please be patient.&nbsp;Once complete, you will be notified and your device will reboot to continue the update process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-12.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-12-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3825\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Again, the update process may take several minutes to complete. <strong>Do not switch off, or press any buttons on remotes etc while this is in progress.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a reboot, you should now be back on the homescreen and your device has been updated and ready to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/T8-SE-OTA-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3827\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new update for T8 SE owners has been released today.
