What is an Android TV Box?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An Android TV Box can be considered as a hybrid device between a set-top TV box (think a Sky+ box, or a TiVo box) and an Android phone, combining the form factor and connectivity options of the former, with the functionality of the latter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are looking for a dedicated streaming device an Android TV box is an excellent bet. Due to the huge breath of IPTV and other content streaming apps available on both the Google Play Store and other third party repositories (such as Kodi), you’ll essentially be spoiled for choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on what route you go for, your Android TV Box will either run the Android TV operating system, or a slightly tweaked version of the regular Android OS (optimized for larger displays). The two are similar in function, but the latter offers a greater degree of freedom with regards to customization. And it is for that reason that we at DroiX prefer it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
