Scroll to the end please for the link to instructions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>We have released new OTA firmware updates for the DroidBOX T8-S and T8-S Plus!&nbsp;Changes in this versions include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Updates include updates to DroidBOX Share, Control Center and DroidBOX Marketplace. <\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support for Google Cast, supporting Youtube casting with Android, Apple iOS and Chrome&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Browser. <\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DBMC 16.1.2 and Kodi 16.1 RC2 added. <\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Auto Refresh rate switching added<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some improvements to the Launcher.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a phone or tablet with Android 6 (<strong>Marshmallow<\/strong>), then this update will be of interest to you. With the <strong>DroidBOX Share<\/strong> update included, you will now be able to use your handheld device to control the <strong>T8-S<\/strong> and <strong>T8-S Plus<\/strong> in more ways, with more devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/^B84E9B6AE740E90D03909C9199695095E7457B5F680A350FD1^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr.jpg\" alt=\"^B84E9B6AE740E90D03909C9199695095E7457B5F680A350FD1^pimgpsh_fullsize_distr\" class=\"wp-image-1345\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Should your mobile device of choice happen to be <strong>Lollipop<\/strong> (Android 5) based, then you&#8217;ll find the update allows <strong>Screen Mirroring<\/strong>, and finally if <strong>iOS 9<\/strong> powers your pocket slab of silicon, you could well be delighted that <strong>AirPlay<\/strong> (where apps support it) will function with the DroidBOX now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/benefit.jpg\" alt=\"Chromecast\" class=\"wp-image-1295\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If <strong>Google Cast<\/strong> (effectively turning your DroidBOX into a <strong>Chromecast<\/strong> device) grabs your attention, then proceed to the OTA Update instructions link below, as you can now case YouTube videos straight to your T8-S and T8-S Plus&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as a couple of little tweaks to the homescreen, you&#8217;ll find that there is no need to carry out a reset of the device after this update. Don&#8217;t forget to untick the &#8220;Download on Wi-Fi only&#8221; option if you&#8217;re using a network (ethernet) cable with your T8-S Plus.
