The PC gaming handhelds scene has changed so much in the past eighteen months that it can be a bit confusing keeping up with everything. We are now entering the next generation of gaming handhelds which promise faster than Steam Deck processors and other new features. Let's take a look at five of the best, in no particular order, soon to be released PC gaming handhelds!

GPD Win MAX 2 portatili da gioco per PC AMD

Iniziamo con il GPD Win MAX 2. Abbiamo recensito il modello Intel di recente e lo abbiamo trovato un po’ sottotono rispetto al modello MAX 2021 dell'anno scorso. Ma il modello AMD con processore Ryzen 7 6800U è molto diverso e offre prestazioni molto più elevate rispetto alla controparte Intel.

GPD WIN MAX 2 Specifiche tecniche

È dotato del già citato processore Ryzen 7 6800U con una scelta di 16GB o 32GB di RAM e 1TB di SSD. C'è un doppio slot m.2 che può essere utilizzato per l'archiviazione aggiuntiva e un modulo 4G LTE opzionale. Il display è un enorme touchscreen da 10,1 pollici, ideale per i giochi. La tastiera QWERTY completa e la fotocamera integrata lo distinguono dagli altri palmari.

Cosa ne pensiamo del GPD WIN MAX 2?

Il design da laptop significa che è un po’ più grande rispetto agli altri portatili da gioco, ma personalmente non mi è dispiaciuto troppo. Le braccia si affaticheranno a tenerlo in mano senza assistenza, ma mi accorgo che quando gioco con qualsiasi palmare di solito appoggio le braccia su una scrivania o sulle ginocchia.

AYA NEO AIR Palmare da gioco per PC

AYA NEO has entered the Windows gaming handheld scene and introduced great looking devices using the latest and fastest available mobile processors. The AYA NEO AIR PC gaming handheld however takes a different approach with a budget alternative using the older AMD Ryzen 5 series processor.

AYA NEO AIR Specifiche tecniche

The AYA NEO Air will come in three models, the Lite, Standard and Pro  The Lite and standard features the Ryzen 5 5560 processor and the Pro has the faster 5825U processor. The standard and pro models will come in a variety of colours to choose from. All three take the title of the thinnest and lightest handheld with a 5.5 inch OLED screen which we can't wait to see.

Cosa ne pensiamo dell'AYA NEO AIR?

Il design riprende in parte quello di un'altra popolare console portatile, ma presenta anche alcune caratteristiche interessanti, come i joystick e i grilletti a padiglione che migliorano l'affidabilità e la durata di queste parti mobili.

The AYA NEO Air will also feature the useful AYA SPACE frontend for Windows which is a console style interface with everything you need at your fingertips. It will also at a later date have AYANEO OS. It is a Linux based OS and will support native Linux as well as Windows games running via Proton, similar to the Steam Deck.

While the AYA NEO Air won't be as high performing as some of the other models mentioned in this video, it will be lower cost and have some great features such as the OLED screen which is not found on the others. The AYA NEO 2 PC gaming handheld will feature the Ryzen 7 6800U so we can expect great performance for gaming. It will have a 7 inch IPS touchscreen display and we will guess 32GB RAM and 1 or 2 TB of storage going by their previous models.

Ne sapremo di più sull'AYA NEO 2 in prossimità della data di lancio, prevista per la fine di settembre. È un po’ troppo presto per dire altro, ma sappiamo che AYA NEO produce ottime console portatili e non vediamo alcun cambiamento. Ci aspettiamo che per questo modello siano disponibili anche AYA SPACE e AYA OS.

L'AOKZOE è un "nuovo arrivato" sulla scena dei palmari con un design stranamente familiare, lasciamo perdere 🙂

Specifiche tecniche di AOKZOE

Come gli altri portatili da gioco di nuova generazione, sarà dotato di un processore AMD Ryzen 7 6800U e di un display IPS da 8 pollici. È possibile scegliere tra diversi colori e sono disponibili opzioni di RAM LPDDR da 16 GB e 32 GB, con spazio di archiviazione fino a 2 TB.

Cosa ci piace dell'AOKZOE?

Sarà inoltre dotato di illuminazione RGB che ne aumenta le prestazioni 🙂 È presente un giroscopio incorporato, già visto nei precedenti modelli AYA NEO, ma che non è stato sfruttato al meglio e che richiede un software di terze parti per essere utilizzato. Sarebbe quindi bello avere un'integrazione adeguata sul palmare da gioco AOKZOE PC.

Un'altra caratteristica che ci piace molto è che ha un cavalletto incorporato, in modo da poterlo appoggiare facilmente sulla scrivania o sul tavolo, ora mi chiedo da dove abbiano preso questa idea…

AYN LOKI PC GAMING HANDHELDS

Our final pick for the best upcoming PC gaming handheld is the Ayn Loki. There will be a few different models, the Zero, Loki Mini, Loki,, Loki Mini Pro and Loki Max. These models vary in specifications with lower performance processors on the Zero and Mini such as the Athlon Silver 3050e we recently took a look at in our Anbernic Win 600 review. And the Pro and Max models will feature the AMD Ryzen 6600U and 6800U.

Cosa ci piace dell'AYN Loki?

Ci sono molti dettagli per esaminare tutti i diversi modelli, ma in questo articolo la faremo breve. Quello che ci piace è che c'è un modello di console portatile per PC AYN Loki adatto a tutte le esigenze. Quelli economici saranno ottimi per giocare ai vecchi giochi per PC e fino ai livelli di emulazione Dreamcast e PSP. Se invece volete godervi gli ultimi giochi AAA per Windows e l'emulazione delle console più recenti, allora avete a disposizione i Ryzen 6600U e 6800U ad alte prestazioni, ovviamente a un prezzo più elevato.

Tuttavia, la nostra preoccupazione è che AYN non sia la migliore nel consegnare i propri modelli ai clienti paganti in tempi decenti. Ci sono ancora clienti in attesa dei loro palmari AYN Odin. The GPD WIN 4 was recently leaked and then announced by GPD themselves. Like many of the next generation handheld gaming PC's it will feature the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor. This is a smaller form factor design than say the AYANEO Next and ONEXPLAYER and will have a 6″ 1080p H-IPS display with 1 or 2TB NVMe SSD and 16 or 32GB LPDDR5 RAM.
