Once installed, you will find that both DBMC (now updated to 16.3.0 with the TDB Maintenance tool add-on built in) and the Remotr applications are ready to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/dbx_media_cenre_logo_dark-300x157.png\" alt=\"DroidBOX\u00ae Media Centre based on Jarvis\" class=\"wp-image-1269\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can read more about the Maintenance tool at <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/dbmc-16-3-0-with-tdb-maintenance-tools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/dbmc-16-3-0-with-tdb-maintenance-tools\/<\/a><\/span> or watch the video below. DBMC's compatibility with librtmp streams has been improved, as well as a memory leak that is now plugged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you missed our post on using Remotr to play your PC's games on your living room TV, you can catch up with it here - <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/droidbox-and-remotr-announce-integration-partnership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/droidbox-and-remotr-announce-integration-partnership\/<\/a><\/span> , where you will also find two further videos covering what it does, how to install it, and a demonstration of it in action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Openelec_logo_transp_270x1351.png\" alt=\"OpenELEC\" class=\"wp-image-2356\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We've also updated OpenELEC; a cleanup of the interface in places, tweaks have been applied to a few functions, and a bug found in some situations when the resolution was switched has been squished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, if you previously had difficulty accessing Android's Recovery menu then this latest OTA update should resolve that for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1841\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/main_21-1-300x236.png\" alt=\"DroidBOX\u00ae iMXQpro\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\"><br>Secondly, we have a similar update for our iMXQpro model, see above for greater detail, but you will also find Android's DBMC has been bumped to 16.3.0 with the same TDB Maintenance Tool add-on included, and the same librtmp stream compatibility and memory optimization is in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.droix.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/DroidBOXOTA.png\" alt=\"DroidBOX\u00ae OTA Updater Updates\" class=\"wp-image-1585\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How To Update<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For both models, power up your device and then bring up the list of all installed applications (don't forget to ensure you're in Android if you own a T8 Mini!) and start the OTA Updater app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should see a notification about this new update being available, if not click the bottom entry to force a re-check.&nbsp;You can now click the download button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the firmware downloads, you can close the initial pop up window, as the progress bar is more reliable in the main screen. Once the download has completed, you'll be asked&nbsp;if you want to install it (click the Install button). Please watch the screen carefully as you may see a request similar to the one below. You need to click the Grant button for the device to proceed with installing the update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/OTAsupersu-300x213.png\" alt=\"OTA SuperSU Request\" class=\"wp-image-2360\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now leave your device alone as it&nbsp;installs the update and boots up for the first time.&nbsp;After it loads, and you can see the launcher's homescreen once more, check the box is connected to the internet, and then wait for 10 minutes. PLEASE DO <strong>NOT<\/strong> REBOOT OR POWER OFF until 10 minutes has passed.
