NUCXi7 64gb, 2Tb.

Purchased a week or so ago, have already installed a 4tb NVME into the 2nd Gen 3 slot, all works fine, it is a very quiet system, even under marginal load. Not had a chance to fully put it to its paces yet. But It ran Diablo 4 well at 3440x1440 resolution on ultra with DLAA enabled.

After having to deal with a total faff with Minisforum directly who didn't really give any clear answers to when or how long I would have had to wait for the order and couldn't give any form of estimate on shipping dates from China (as the UK site everything still comes from China) The problem apparently stemmed due to the manufacturer and poor communication, though its impossible to really know the truth, as there was a language barrier and time zone issue to overcome) Ultimately after some further talking I had them refund me for the purchase. I contacted DroiX directly via the Live Chat regarding Stock and had the PC delivered next day via DPD. So I really cannot complain, its a little more expensive than on the likes of Amazon or the likes of Minisforum directly, however you do get the 64Gb version with a 2Tb NVME, and £15 delivery cost to get it here next day was worth it.

So far I'm happy with the purchase and functionality, I would advise however like with many of the reviewers or 'box openers' on Youtube, to order a USB or Thunderbolt Hub as there are only 3 USB A ports and 1 USB C/Thunderbolt Port.
Also For those who look at the 2nd NVME slot, be advised it is Gen 3 (the one furthest from the fans) and Heatsinks on the prebuilt NVME's like the WD SN850X (Gen 4) won't fit with as its too wide. I went down the route of a copper plate and thermal pads as they were no wider than 22mm. The gap between the new NVME with the copper plate when installed is minimal, likely no more than 1mm, but it looked more likely to be in the microns, in terms of height however you have about 9mm clearance above before you hit the Side Panel.

Sleek and powerful NUCX17

This is a striking and powerful gaming-class computer in a very slimline case. Essentially it's a laptop without a battery or screen, equipped with Nvidia mobile RTX3070 GPU that has handled every gaming title I've run with ease. The machine takes up very little desk space, which allows me to have an ultra-wide monitor and the computer on the same desktop. The skull design on matt silver is striking and stylish. I couldn't be happier with this miniature powerhouse. It's quiet too, even when running games with the turbo mode selected.
