Game Error when loading arcade and PSX games

It looks like to can change the cores used within the GUI (start, games settings, per system advanced settings...). Having retested, MAME is now throwing up that error. This was with the rom mentioned from the site above and my original rom (which worked yesterday). Changing cores didn't help...

Game Error when loading arcade and PSX games

That MAME version is very old, so you would need to get the exact rom(s) for that version. Personally, I would look for roms for FBNeo only. Some MAME roms "may" work with FBNeo but it's a bit hit and miss. Regarding my second reply, I'm just trying to get as much info on your setup as...

Game Error when loading arcade and PSX games

Ok, I think I'm running the same firmware now. Does it report as being EMUELEC ES V3.8? The text is orange and the 2 splash screens show an N64 controller (bottom middle) and an arcade controller (red joystick with 6 buttons) in the same position. This is under FinalBurn Neo. For my testing, I...

Game Error when loading arcade and PSX games

The "Arcade" folder should be ok. I am going to download and install the firmware that came with the device to better advise you. Although the mentioned emulators/cores worked for me, this is on a different firmware (GUI). Do none of the arcade and N64 roms not work? This would indicate that it...

Game Error when loading arcade and PSX games

Regarding Diddy Kong Racing, it would not start under "Auto". The same issues also with RetroArch (Parallel N64 & MUPEN64PLUS) and RetroRun (Parallel N64). However, setting to Mupen64Plussa (M64P GL64MK2 & M64P Rice), both off these worked. I'm guessing in my case, this could be a bios issue. :)

Game Error when loading arcade and PSX games

Depends on what OS you are running. If Windows, I believe it is available from the MAME installer. I'm running Fedora (Linux) I own the RG351MP (same hardware but looks different). Are you running the frontend that came with the device? I'm using Amber Elec which may be different to what you...

Game Error when loading arcade and PSX games

Hi Frankdemariany What type of errors do you get? PSX and Arcade games "may" need some bios/extra files to be able to run. I can't remember if these are included but may be the cause. For PSX games, I would suggest using CHDMAN. This comes included in Mame. This tool will allow you create 1...

    1980’s racing game

I would have thought there would have been something in the Game & Watch series but couldn't find anything. The game "Racing Car" says it's listed as G&W type game. :)

    1980’s racing game

Are you after the name of this game or similar looking game? Having done a bit of Googling, Grand Prix for this device (possibly) but on first impressions, reminded me of Pole Position (2600 & arcade). For Atari (I assume you mean 2600), maybe Enduro. Good luck with your quest. :)

    RG351MP preloaded games

That's another good thing about the RG351MP in that you have 2 SD card slots. One for the OS and the other for roms, so you can swap out different frontends (OS's). I think I ended up getting a couple of 32GB cards (for the OS) and a 256GB (or maybe 128GB) for the games. I took a backup of what...

    RG351MP preloaded games

I'm not sure if all the cards have the same games but on mine, I have Shinobi 3 - Return of the Ninja Master, Super Shinobi, Revenge of Shinobi and Shadow Dancer - The Secret of Shinobi. These are on the Genesis. Personally, I prefer the old arcade games, like Shinobi and Shadow Dancer. Not...

    Mario

I don't own the RG351P (RG351MP instead) but looking at this post, it seems that it's possible via ForkLift. https://retrogamecorps.com/2020/10/13/rg351p-file-transfer-guide/ I use Linux myself (Fedora) and have no problems connecting. From the link above, see the section titled "Transfer files...

    RG351MP preloaded games

As an RG351MP owner myself, it comes with a lot of preloaded games. Any particular game(s) you are interested in? Btw, it is very easy to source your own games ;). You won't be disappointed with this device. :)

    RG351P Game adding

I'm not sure how different the RG351P is to the RG351MP (regarding firmware) but you may need to create "n64" folder. Copy your n64 roms into that folder. For Game Boy, you will need to create "gb" folder. Hope that helps. :)

    [RG351MP] A Few Questions

Planning on using 32GB for the OS (SDHC) and if successful, may get a couple more. 256GB (SDXC) for games which should be plenty. Is it possible to transfer files using the USB cable? Currently using the Lakka firmware. Have been using SAMBA over wireless but plugged in wirelessly would be...

    [RG351MP] A Few Questions

Yes, tried 351ELEC last night. Visually, amazing frontend. Regarding SD cards, are microSDHC cards compatible or are the microSDXC cards preferred for this device? Can these cards be used with standard card reader? :)

    [RG351MP] A Few Questions

Thanks for the quick response. I like the idea of INT & EXT (keeping OS and games seperate), that's quite a neat idea to be able to swap out OS's (frontends). Are there many for the RG351MP? :)
