You are looking for the filename starting with <strong>EmuELEC-GameForce.aarch64<\/strong> then the version number and ending with <strong>.img.gz<\/strong>. Click on that to download the file.<br><br>While that is downloading, you will also need software to write the image file to your Micro SD Card. Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.balena.io\/etcher\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.balena.io\/etcher\/<\/a>&nbsp; We recommend Balena Etcher as it is available on Windows, MAC and Linux. Download the version for your OS and install it.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-writing-the-emuelec-image-to-your-micro-sd-card\">Writing the EmuELEC image to your Micro SD Card<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the image file has finished downloading. Insert the Micro SD Card you will be using into your PC, you can ignore any messages regarding unformatted drives.<br><br>Open Etcher. And you will see three options. Choose <strong>Flash from file<\/strong> and locate the image file that you downloaded.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Etcher-Flash-From-File.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Etcher-Flash-From-File-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Etcher - Choosing Flash from file\" class=\"wp-image-23719\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, you need to choose your Micro SD Card drive. Etcher usually suggests the correct Micro SD Card drive, but double and triple check you are selecting the correct drive otherwise you could write over your PC hard drive.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Etcher-Select-Micro-SD-Card.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Etcher-Select-Micro-SD-Card-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Selecting correct storage on Etcher\" class=\"wp-image-23720\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Double and triple check you have chosen the correct drive again, and then press the <strong>Flash<\/strong> button to proceed. You may receive a security prompt, choose <strong>Yes<\/strong> to continue.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Etcher-Flash.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Etcher-Flash-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Select Flash on Etcher\" class=\"wp-image-23721\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Etcher will now decompress the image file and then write the image to the Micro SD Card. This should not take too long, just a few minutes depending on the speed of your Micro SD Card.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Etcher-Flashing-Image-2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Etcher-Flashing-Image-2-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Flashing an image with Etcher\" class=\"wp-image-23724\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Once Etcher has finished, you can close the Etcher software and safely eject the Micro SD Card from your computer.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-first-boot-on-the-gameforce\">First boot on the Gameforce<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Insert the Micro SD Card into your Gameforce and switch it on. For the first boot, the process will take longer as it is finishing setting up the operating system and reallocating the Micro SD Card storage. This should take around three minutes, during this period of time, do not switch off the Gameforce or press any buttons.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Gameforce-First-Boot.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Gameforce-First-Boot-1024x576.png\" alt=\"First boot installing EmuELEC on Gameforce\" class=\"wp-image-23726\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Once the installation process has completed, you will see the EmuELEC frontend with a Setup screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Gameforce-Setup-Menu.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Gameforce-Setup-Menu-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23727\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have not copied games to a Micro SD Card for EmuELEC before, keep reading and we will show you how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-copying-game-rom-files-to-the-micro-sd-card\">Copying game rom files to the Micro SD Card<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First, correctly shutdown the Gameforce by pressing <strong>START<\/strong>, then choose <strong>Quit<\/strong> and then <strong>Yes<\/strong>. Remove the Micro SD Card and plug it back into your computer.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open <strong>Disk Management<\/strong>, you can search for it as shown on the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Loading-Disk-Management.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Loading-Disk-Management-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23728\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>You will see a list of the drives on your computer. Scroll down the list until you see the Micro SD Card. It is easy to spot, as you will see <strong>EMUELEC<\/strong> and <strong>EEROMS<\/strong> partitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Disk-Management.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Disk-Management-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Disk Management\" class=\"wp-image-23730\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Choose the <strong>EEROMS<\/strong> partition, right click and choose <strong>Change Drive Letter and Paths<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Disk-Management-Choose-drive-letter.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Disk-Management-Choose-drive-letter-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Disk Management - Change Drive Letters\" class=\"wp-image-23729\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Click on <strong>Add<\/strong> and then choose a drive letter, it can be any letter. Click on <strong>OK<\/strong>. The drive letter will now be assigned to the games partition on the Micro SD Card. Close the Disk Management software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Disk-Management-Choose-drive-letter-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Disk-Management-Choose-drive-letter-1-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Disk Management - Assign drive letter\" class=\"wp-image-23731\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>You may need to remove and insert your Micro SD Card to refresh the Windows drives.<br><br>Open Explorer and you will now see three drives, EMUELEC, a Linux partition, and EEROMS which you just assigned a drive letter to. Open <strong>EEROMS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Explorer-Choose-drive.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Explorer-Choose-drive-1024x576.png\" alt=\"EmuELEC partitions\" class=\"wp-image-23732\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>You will now see a list of folders with many of them being video game consoles names. These are the folders you copy your game roms to. So for example Amiga, Atari 2600, Commodore 64, Mega Drive, PC Engine and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/EmuELEC-Game-Folders.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/EmuELEC-Game-Folders-1024x576.png\" alt=\"EmuELEC game folders\" class=\"wp-image-23733\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>If for example you have some Mega Drive games to copy, simply enter the <strong>megadrive<\/strong> folder and copy over your Mega Drive rom files to it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Explorer-copying-files.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/Explorer-copying-files-1024x576.png\" alt=\"Copying files to micro SD card.\" class=\"wp-image-23734\" width=\"512\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><br>If you have some Atari 2600 games, enter the <strong>atari2600<\/strong> folder and copy the Atari 2600 rom files there.<br><br>And repeat the process for any video game consoles and rom files you have. They do need to go into the correct folder otherwise they may not be recognised by EmuELEC when scanned.<br><br>Once you have finished copying the files, safely eject the Micro SD Card and insert it back in to your Gameforce.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-second-boot-of-the-gameforce\">Second boot of the Gameforce<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Switch it on and the Gameforce will boot up and scan your Micro SD Card for newly added games. This may take a short while if you have added many games in one go.<br><br>Once it has finished scanning for new games you will be back on the EmuELEC menu. Scrolling left or right will now show the new gaming systems that you have added. Choosing a system will display a list of games available for it.
