If you have installed other custom firmware do not install this update!<\/p>\n<p>You will first need to download the appropriate firmware for your device:<\/p>\n<p>RG350 (Plastic case) &#8211; Download from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/droidbox.sharepoint.com\/:u:\/s\/Purchasing\/EXPnrx1TgUhGm1TecftmOb4BVkWAk09lLI7DXwVPeMdgkg?e=HqEULI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<br \/>\nRG350M (Metal Alloy case) &#8211; Download from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/droidbox.sharepoint.com\/:u:\/s\/Purchasing\/ESqYgbHXGBhBk2QpVkZ1iJ4BGSepS0oXJq6OwLKZSZgVdg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The above two Beta v1.1 firmware are dated 10th May 2020 and include support for HDMI output. Please note that this is a beta and is unsupported by us. You do use at your own risk. The files can be extracted using <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.7-zip.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">7zip<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Preparing the firmware<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We will be copying the firmware on to the second Micro SD Card. If you have a card reader on your PC you can plug it into that, or if you wish to transfer via USB cable on the RG350M please follow our overview guide <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/copying-files-via-usb-cable-from-pc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Extract the <strong>.OPK<\/strong> file found inside the download to your PC and then copy it to the <strong>APPS<\/strong> folder on the Micro SD Card. If the folder is not present, please create the folder otherwise the update will not be recognised.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350M-OPK-update.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2638\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350M-OPK-update-300x102.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"102\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can now safely eject the card and put it back in to the your device.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Installing the update<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Please ensure that your device is fully charged before performing the update.<\/p>\n<p>With the Micro SD Card now back in the device, you can now switch it on. Once it has booted, navigate to the <strong>Applications<\/strong> menu by tapping the L or R shoulder buttons. Scroll down the icons until you see the update file, it should be named <strong>OS Update<\/strong> or similar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2639\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Open this app with the <strong>A<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2640\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-2-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Double check you are installing the correct update for your device and navigate to <strong>Update<\/strong> and press the <strong>START<\/strong> button to start the firmware upgrade.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2641\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-3-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The upgrade process will now begin. This will happen in several stages and take a few minutes to perform. Do <strong>NOT<\/strong> at any time switch off the device or remove the Micro SD card. Press the <strong>START<\/strong> button to continue.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2644\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-6-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The device will now reboot and return to the main menu and is now ready to use.<\/p>\n<p>You can activate the HDMI (beta) output by loading the <strong>Gmenu2x<\/strong> settings app found in <strong>Settings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-7.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2645\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/en-gb\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-series-OPK-update-7-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Scroll down the menu to <strong>HDMI<\/strong> option and press Left or Right on the D-Pad to switch ON\/OFF the HDMI output.
