Today we&#8217;re going to bring to you a quick &#8216;n dirty guide on how to update the firmware for the DroiX X3 Android Box!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin with, you&#8217;ll need the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A Male-to-Male USB cable<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/go.droix.net\/X3-FW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Firmware for the DroiX X3<\/a><\/li><li>A PC or Laptop for installing the software<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Download The Firmware<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>You can download the firmware here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/go.droix.net\/X3-FW\">https:\/\/go.droix.net\/X3-FW<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inside this are two key files. The image file itself, and a file called &#8220;password.bin&#8221;. Keep both of these on hand for the moment. We have also included version 2.1.7.0 of the Amlogic USB Burning Tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Flashing Process<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Install the Amlogic USB Burning Tool (included in the firmware download). You&#8217;ll be met with the main window once finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/1-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/1-1-300x194.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10279\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Click &#8220;File&#8221; in the top left, and then &#8220;Import image&#8221;, and navigate to the image file you downloaded earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/2-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/2-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10280\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Once selected, it may take a moment to load up. Once that&#8217;s done, click &#8220;View&#8221; and then &#8220;InPut Password&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/3-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/3-1-300x102.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10281\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the 3 dots, then locate the password.bin file you downloaded earlier, then click &#8220;OK&#8221; if the window does not automatically close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/4-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/4-1-300x124.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10282\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that&#8217;s done, click &#8220;start&#8221;, and connect the X3 to your PC via the male-to-male USB cable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;ve inserted it into the correct port on the X3, it should appear in the main window of the USB burning tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Note: This may fail once or twice &#8211; this is nothing to be alarmed about, simply disconnect and reconnect to restart the process)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/5-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/5-1-300x56.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10283\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>(It should look similar to this!)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once finished, the progress bar will be full and green, it is safe to disconnect the X3.
