If you are looking to upgrade your DroiX CK2, we at DroiX have put together a short guide to help you disassemble the unit and upgrade your device as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1 – Remove the lid<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To access the CK2, you first need to remove the lid of the unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do so, slide the latch mechanism on the rear of the device (circled in red) to the right, then gently lift the lid from the unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Note: The hole on the right-hand side is a screw hole used for locking the latch mechanism — preventing the unit from being opened)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2 – Removing the Mounting Bracket<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the lid lifted, you will now be face-to-face with the mounting bracket of the DroiX CK2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This bracket will hold a 2.5-inch drive (be it HDD or SSD) in place. To connect a 2.5-inch drive, simply connect the SATA cable (outlined in yellow) to your drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To remove the bracket, remove the tape securing the SATA cable to the bracket, and then loosen the screws (circled in red). You will then be able to lift the CK2’s mounting bracket<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3 – Replacing Components<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You will now be at the heart of the DroiX CK2. From here, you can upgrade and replace the components as you wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To remove the RAM, lightly pull the securing clips (circled in yellow) outward until the stick springs up by itself. You can then pull it out without resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To replace the M.2 SSD (circled in red), loosen the screw at the end of the socket, and you can then insert\/remove the M.2 SSD as you please.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the above in mind, you should now be able to upgrade or strip your DroiX CK2 to your preferred configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
