You can find the latest versions of the RG350 firmware on our forums <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.droidboxforums.com\/forums\/rg-350-retro-games-handheld.175\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/span>. Do not attempt to install an upgrade over original firmware or an older custom firmware.<\/p>\n<p>If you have the original or older custom firmware installed, you can follow the guide <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/how-to-flash-custom-firmware-on-rg350\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/span> for how to do a full install.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Upgrading the RG350 Custom Firmware<\/h2>\n<p>Extract the Upgrade file to your External Micro SD Card. If it prompts to overwrite any files, choose <strong>Yes<\/strong> to overwrite.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend having a full battery charge before continuing. Insert the Micro SD Card back into your RG350 and switch it back on.<\/p>\n<p>Navigate to the <strong>Applications<\/strong> folder and locate the <strong>OS Update<\/strong> icon as shown in the image below, and press the <strong>A<\/strong> button to open it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2469\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You will receive a notice prompting to Update, highlight it and press <strong>START<\/strong> to continue.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2471\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-2-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Update process will now begin. There are a few steps to the update which can take several minutes to complete. Do not switch off or press any buttons during this process.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2472\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-3-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When the update is complete, it will verify everything has updated correctly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2473\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-4-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When prompted, press <strong>START<\/strong> to reboot the RG350.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2474\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-5-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The RG350 will reboot and you will be back on to the main menu. Highlight <strong>DinguxCmdr<\/strong> icon and press <strong>A<\/strong> to open it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-7.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2475\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-7-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Highlight the two dots <strong>..<\/strong> at the top of the folder list and press the <strong>A<\/strong> button to move back folders until you reach the root folder. You will see a <strong>media<\/strong> folder, choose this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-8.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2476\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-8-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Select <strong>data<\/strong> from the folder list.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-9.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2477\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-9-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Select <strong>apps<\/strong> from the folder list.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-10.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2479\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-10-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Press the <strong>START<\/strong> button once to copy the folder location on the right panel as we will use this later.<\/p>\n<p>Press the <strong>X<\/strong> button and choose <strong>Select All<\/strong>. The files in the left side panel will change to red colour. Press <strong>Y<\/strong> and then choose <strong>Delete<\/strong> from the menu.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-13.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2480\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-13-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Press the two dots <strong>..<\/strong> twice to return to the <strong>\/media<\/strong> folder and now choose <strong>sdcard<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-14.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2481\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-14-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Choose the <strong>upgrade pack<\/strong> folder, or similar name if different as it may change over time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-15.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2482\" src=\"https:\/\/droix.net\/knowledge-base\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/11\/RG350-Update-Firmware-15-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Press the <strong>X<\/strong> button and choose <strong>Select All<\/strong> from the menu. The files should now be a red colour.<\/p>\n<p>Press the <strong>Y<\/strong> button and choose <strong>Copy<\/strong> from the menu. It will now copy all the files from the External SD Card to the internal storage. Depending on the size of the update this process can take up to several minute.
