The new AMD Ryzen™ 7 8840U processor brings significant improvements over its predecessor, providing a 60% increase in XDNA AI core speed. This upgrade enhances AI computing capabilities up to 16TOPS, ensuring better low-power energy efficiency.
The AMD Ryzen™ 7 8840U is built on the Zen 4 architecture and features 8 cores and 16 threads. It has a base clock speed of 2.0 GHz, which can boost up to 4.7 GHz for demanding tasks. The processor includes a 20MB cache, split into 4MB of L2 cache and 16MB of L3 cache, allowing for faster data retrieval and improved performance.
With a configurable TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 15-28W, the 8840U balances power consumption and performance, making it ideal for portable devices. The integrated AMD Radeon™ 780M graphics, based on the RDNA 3 architecture, further enhance the visual experience.
