The KONKR brand represents a budget range from AYANEO, the well-known handheld gaming manufacturer. Consequently, this KONKR Pocket FIT review will explore how the lower-cost Android handheld performs. We will specifically compare it to its more expensive counterparts.
First Impressions: A Closer Look At The KONKR Pocket FIT
First, we begin our KONKR Pocket FIT review with a close look at the console itself. The device measures approximately 10 x 3.5 x 0.6 inches (22.5 x 8.89 x 1.7 cm). However, the grips add a little extra thickness, bringing the total to 1.1 inches (2.8cm). In terms of weight, it comes in at around 386g (0.85lbs).
This specific model is the Dragon Yellow version. Furthermore, it will also be available in Phantom Black and Snow White.
A 6-inch LCD touchscreen dominates the front. It features a 1920×1080 resolution and runs up to 144Hz. You will certainly notice a difference when comparing it to a high-end OLED, like the one found on the AYANEO Pocket DS. However, some compromises must be made to achieve this lower cost.
Controls and Connectivity
We find the usual gaming controls on the left and right sides of the display. This includes hall effect joysticks, which are now standard across most Android gaming devices. Additionally, two pairs of buttons are located towards the bottom. These function as SELECT & START, plus shortcuts for the AYA Space overlay and the home screen.
Looking at the bottom, we find a covered Micro SD card slot for storage expansion. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack. Alongside it is a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, which supports both charging and video output via a suitable adapter.
The top of the device features Left and Right hall effect triggers. Notably, these triggers have switches to move between Analog and Digital modes. This is useful for racing and first-person shooters, respectively. The volume and power buttons are positioned slightly off-center.
Ergonomics and Overall Feel
On the back, two grip areas are featured, but they are made of smooth, untextured plastic. You also get two macro buttons, which can be configured in the software. Finally, the back also holds the two previously mentioned switches for the triggers.
Overall, the quality of the materials and the general comfort feel good. The grips, however, are a little too smooth to allow for a proper hold. Visually, the device definitely looks the part. This is especially true for the all-glass front side of the handheld.
KONKR Pocket FIT Technical Specifications
Next in our KONKR Pocket FIT review, we will compare the technical specifications. After that, we run our own tests for battery life, fan noise, and temperature.

For our battery life tests, Antutu was run on a loop at full brightness. This test was conducted using the Max Performance mode. The 8000mAh battery lasted around 2 hours and 33 minutes under this full usage. Of course, average battery life will be higher. Depending on the game, you can expect a good 6 to 8 hours of playtime.
While conducting the battery test, we also checked fan noise and temperatures. We measured a high of 66dB. The average noise, however, was barely audible. Furthermore, the fan is switched off entirely when in ECO mode. In terms of heat, we saw a highest temperature of around 48°C.
KONKR Pocket FIT Review Benchmarks
We ran a series of benchmark tests for this KONKR Pocket FIT review. These tests allow a comparison against other models. Specifically, we have the previous-generation Pocket ACE and Pocket S. We also included the latest-generation Pocket S2, which features the same processor.
Antutu
First, for the Antutu benchmark, we see scores in line with the Pocket S2. The device scored around 2.1 million. You could probably run the test several times and get similar results, so this is within the margin of error.
3DMark TimeSpy
Next, with 3DMark’s Wildlife Extreme benchmark, we again see great scores. The KONKR Pocket FIT compared very well with the Pocket S2.
Geekbench 6
Finally, Geekbench 6 tests the CPU’s single and multi-core performance. Here, we see pretty much the same scores on both results. Overall, the performance is roughly the same as the premium AYANEO Pocket S2.
KONKR Pocket FIT Software Overview
The AYA Space app is a well-established piece of software. Thankfully, the premium experience from AYANEO’s main consoles has been passed down to the KONKR Pocket FIT. You get the AYA Space app for setting up your ROM and app collections. You also get AYA Settings for device configuration. This includes performance levels, controller settings, device spoofing, and firmware updates.
Additionally, the AYA Space overlay provides shortcuts to common functions. These include changing performance, controller types, and screen settings. It also allows for controller screen mapping and more. Consequently, the software gets top marks for value, as it truly stands out in the budget arena.
Native Android Gaming Performance
Now, let’s take a brief look at native Android gaming in this review. Coming from our AYANEO Pocket S2 review, we already know this Gen 3 processor is capable. It can handle just about everything thrown at it for Android gaming.
For example, we tried a bunch of different games. These ranged from the basic Dan The Man up to demanding titles like Alien Isolation and Prince of Persia. We had no issues at all with performance. Moreover, you can even spoof the device as a Xiaomi 15 Pro to unlock higher graphics settings.
Of course, for games with no controller support, a solution is provided with the KONKR Pocket FIT. You can simply configure the screen mapping software. This assigns the physical gaming controls to on-screen presses.
How Well Does It Emulate?
This Gen 3 processor used on the KONKR Pocket FIT will happily run almost every emulator without issues. This even includes the most demanding ones. Everything from the 8-bit era right up to the PS2 era will work perfectly. This, of course, assumes the games are compatible with the emulator.
Furthermore, you can improve visuals with graphics tweaks. For instance, the rendering resolution can be increased to 1080P, or even 4K when outputting to a monitor. Let’s look at some demanding emulators as part of this review.
Azahar
Regarding the dual-screen emulator Azahar, performance is perfect. You can increase the rendering resolution to 1080P, or even higher on a 4K display. Occasionally, you may get very minor shader cache drops in some games, but it is never game-breaking.
Vita3K
The Vita emulator, Vita3K, also runs amazingly well on this CPU. We could increase the rendering resolution up to 2x on the internal display with just a few tweaks. Depending on the game’s demand, you can go even higher on your TV.
Eden
Next, the Eden emulator continues to improve over time. Consequently, we are seeing some amazing performance now. Low-to-mid-demand games should all run very well. You can also run in docked mode at 60FPS in most cases.
For certain first-party titles we cannot mention, very impressive performance was found. Popular action RPGs, for example, run at great, playable levels.
In short, you should have no issues with emulators on this device. The only exception is the newest PS3 emulator, which is still in the early stages of development and not fully compatible.
Final Thoughts: Is the Pocket FIT Worth It?
It is time to sum up our KONKR Pocket FIT review. Overall, the KONKR Pocket FIT is a great Android gaming handheld. It is especially good if you are on a budget but still require a high-performance device. And, let’s be honest, who doesn’t want high performance?
We saw top-tier scores in our benchmarks. These scores were comparable to the premium AYANEO Pocket S2, which uses the same processor. Considering the price difference is around 58%, this represents an excellent price-versus-performance statistic.
The Feel and Display Showdown
The overall feel of the KONKR Pocket FIT is good. Additionally, the grips on the back are very welcome, even if they do lack texture. The lack of grips was one of my downsides for the S2. Therefore, the FIT ‘kind of’ wins in a direct comparison here.
Perhaps the biggest difference is the. The Pocket FIT provides a 6-inch LCD display at 1080P and 144Hz. In contrast, the S2 has a slightly larger 6.3-inch IPS panel at 1440P and 60Hz. There are positives and negatives to both screens.
When comparing them side-by-side, the Pocket S2 does look more vibrant. It also supports up to 1440P instead of 1080P. However, the S2 only has a 60Hz refresh rate, while the KONKR Pocket FIT goes up to 144Hz.
Personally, I think the KONKR Pocket FIT is a great alternative to the premium AYANEO Pocket S2. Its performance and comfort are matched. The quality, in terms of feel, is only a little lower. Ultimately, the display choice is down to personal preference. If you are on a budget, this device should be first on your list. if you are looking for an Android dual display handheld
