OneXPlayer have announced an update to their OneXPlayer 2 model released last year. Lets see what is new in the OneXPlayer 2Pro handheld gaming PC.
The CPU
Unsurprisingly the new OneXPlayer 2Pro will feature the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor to keep in line with the latest CPU releases. The 8840U features 8 cores and 16 threads running up to 5.1Ghz. The GPU remains an AMD Radeon 780M with 12 cores running up to 2700Mhz. In terms of performance compared to the original 7840U model, we can expect up to 10% performance in some cases. The 8840U also features AMD Ryzen AI which may be handy if supported.
That’s really the only change in the OneXPlayer 2Pro. It will feature the same detachable controllers, let’s hope the controller adapter is available on launch this time around. It will also have the same support for its portable keyboard which you can connect and use like a portable tablet or PC.
