For this comparison we will be using the brand new GPD Duo with the Ryzen 9 and a bunch of Ryzen 7 8840U models with the GPD WIN 4, GPD Win MAX 2 and GPD WIN Mini 2024 models, as well as the ONEXPLAYER X1 Mini.
Ryzen 9 vs. Ryzen 7 Performance Video
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Benchmark comparison
We are running Call of Duty Black Ops 6 at 1080P and 720P resolutions, on the default Minimal graphics settings, with no FSR upscaling and 100% rendering resolution. We are also running at 28W TDP on all devices to keep it fair.
At 1080P resolution, the GPD DUO takes the lead, delivering an impressive 68 frames per second (FPS). This performance shows a notable 31% improvement over the GPD WIN 4, which achieved 51 FPS, and a 30% advantage over the ONEXPLAYER X1 Mini, which reached 48 FPS. Interestingly, the GPD WIN MAX 2 2024 came close with 52 FPS, falling roughly 24% behind the DUO. The GPD WIN MINI trailed with 46 FPS, putting it 48% behind the DUO. These results highlight the Ryzen 9’s strength in handling higher resolutions, providing a smoother gaming experience at 1080P.
Switching to 720P resolution, each device demonstrated a significant boost in FPS, yet the GPD DUO still led the pack with a high 107 FPS. This figure is 27% higher than the next best performer, the GPD WIN MAX 2, which achieved 85 FPS. The GPD WIN 4 was close behind with 84 FPS, both around 28% below the DUO’s frame rate. The ONEXPLAYER X1 Mini followed with 79 FPS, about 35% below the DUO, while the GPD WIN MINI 2024 came in at 75 FPS, lagging by 42%. These results indicate that 720P can offer smoother gameplay across all devices, but the DUO remains the clear choice for peak performance.
All in all, the GPD DUO with the Ryzen 9 AI HX370 processor came out on top across the board, delivering far higher FPS than the others, whether in 1080P or 720P. The differences were pretty big too, with the DUO outperforming the next closest device by anywhere from 28% to 62%, depending on the resolution. If you’re looking for the smoothest gameplay and the highest frame rates, the GPD DUO is the clear winner here. It’s definitely the best pick for anyone who wants solid performance in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 without having to compromise too much on resolution or quality.
