What are Drivers, and why do I need them?
Without getting into too much detail, a driver can be summarized as a “program that allows a computer to interface with a specific component”. Said component potentially being anything, from speakers to keyboards to even Wi-Fi.
Without drivers present, the best-case scenario you’ll face when trying to use the related component/feature is that you will be able to use the chosen component/feature with reduced functionality. The worst-case scenario is that the component/feature is entirely non-functional.
For example, if you were to remove the Wi-Fi drivers from your PC, your computer would be unable to connect to the internet.
If your PC is working without any problems, you probably do not need to manually update your drivers. Although highly unlikely, updating your drivers has the potential to cause compatibility issues in the event that a bug or oversight sneaks into an update.
A common reason you may want to manually reinstall your drivers, is if you are experiencing specific issues. Such as weak Wi-Fi signals, or graphical glitches.
How do I use drivers?
The driver packages in this guide are provided by Beelink themselves. As such, there are some small inconsistencies in how they are laid out (some have folders other don’t, naming is inconsistent, etc.)
The one common rule between them to keep in mind is that they will be one of the following:
- An executable file (.exe) that you need to run. This will usually be called “setup.exe” or something along those lines.
- An a batch (.bat) file that you need to run. This will probably be called “Install.bat”, or something similar.
Beyond these files occasionally being required to be run as admin (right click -> run as administrator), there is not much more to them. If anything specific is required, it will be located in a “readme” text file or .pdf in the download.
In actuality, Windows has become pretty good at finding compatible drivers for computers. So provided your mini PC is connected to the internet and is up-to-date, it will likely have already found newer solutions for many components.
Beelink PC Driver Download Links
At this point in time, the latest Beelink PC drivers and BIOS files can be found on their website.
In the interests of redundancy however (you never know if their site will go down), we have mirrored their download links below.
To make the download quicker for you, all of these files will be compressed in some way. For .zip files, you can extract them natively with Windows 10. For .7z, .rar files, and other types, you will need third-party file archival software. We prefer 7zip as it is free and lightweight.
