We will be regularly updating this article with more information on the GPD P4 MAX as we receive it.
What is the GPD P4 MAX?
The GPD P2 MAX was released in 2019 and featured an Intel Core m3-8100Y and later the Intel Pentium Silver N6000 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD, as well as a larger 10.1-inch display. The device had a more refined design, with a sleek silver finish and a smaller bezel than other GDP products. The GPD P2 MAX was well-received for its performance and portability, although its higher price point made it less accessible for budget-conscious users.
The GPD P4 MAX is expected to follow the innovations made in the previous model. While we do not have any official confirmation of the design, we would expect the GPD P4 MAX to have a large screen of around 9-11″ with a resolution of 1920×1200 up to 2560×1600.
What are the GPD P4 MAX Technical Specifications?
It has been confirmed that the GPD P4 MAX CPU will be the same as the GPD Pocket 4, the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U which has eight Zen 4 cores and sixteen threads running up to 28W TDP. The highest frequency that it supports is not known yet. It will also have the AMD Radeon 780M graphics which should be amazing for gaming as well as high demanding software such a video and image editing.
The RAM and storage have not been confirmed but we would guess it will have similar to current devices with 16GB or 32GB DDR5 RAM and choices of 512GB, 1TB and 2TB SSD storage.
We know from the GPD G1 dock that the GPD P4 MAX will have a direct PCIe port which is used to connect to the dock. This will provide a high speed connection to the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU for gaming performance which rivals many desktop PC’s!
When is the GPD P4 MAX release date?
The expected release date is Q4 2023. We will update with a more accurate date as soon as we get further information.
What is the GPD P4 MAX price?
No prices have been announced yet. We would expect it to be in the similar price range of £750 upwards.
