GEEKOM A5 2025 Overview
We begin our GEEKOM A5 2025 review with an overview of it. The Geekom A5 2025 measures around 4.6 x 4.4 x 1.93 inches (11.7 x 11.2 x 4.92 cm) and weighs 652g (1.43 lbs). The silver casing is made from ABS plastic and definitely looks the part on your workspace.
On the front are two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports which are ideal for quick connectivity with peripherals such as a USB drive. To the right are a 3.5mm headphone jack and the power button.
The left side features a full sized SD card reader which is always useful to have on a mini PC.
The has two HDMI 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, a 2.5G ethernet port, one more USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port and a USB 2.0 port. You have support for a multi-monitor setup which is ideal for the office environment. The range of USB ports is also great, allowing connectivity with high speed peripherals such as an external drive.
Inside is space for a 2.5” SATA HDD or SSD which is something many mini PCs are lacking, it is a very welcome option for expanding your storage!
GEEKOM A5 2025 Technical Specifications
Next in our GEEKOM A5 2025 review we take a look at the technical specification as well as our own power usage, fan noise and temperature tests.
The GEEKOM A5 2025 comes with the AMD Ryzen 5 7430U process with AMD Radeon RX Vega 7 graphics. We will be putting it through its paces with some benchmarks shortly.
As standard it comes with 16GB DDR4-3200 LPDDR4 RAM which can be expanded up to 64GB. The storage is handled with the default 512GB M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4 SSD which can be expanded up to 2TB. The SATA drive allows for up to 1TB drives.
For connectivity we have high speed Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 as well as the 2.5Gbps ethernet for wired data.
In our power usage tests we saw around 3.9W whilst idle on the desktop. During average usage we got a power draw of around 20W. And at full load we got around 39W. In our fan noise tests we got a low of 38dB (average office noise) and high of around 46dB. In our temperature tests we saw a very cool maximum of around 55 °C.

System Benchmarks
We continue our GEEKOM A5 2025 review with some system and gaming benchmarks. We will be comparing with the GEEKOM range of AMD and Intel mini PCs to learn about its performance versus price.
PassMark
PassMark performs a series of tests across the system including CPU, GPU, RAM and Storage. The GEEKOM A5 2025 has a score of 3869 which puts it in 5th place against its more expensive competitors.
PCMark
PCMark performs your more day to day usage tests ranging from Web browsing, video conferencing through to more demanding tasks such as working with large office documents and image editing.
We see a much improved competitive score of 5752 taking fourith place amongst the higher priced competitors. Great result!
Cinebench R23
Cinebench tests the single and multi-core performance of the processor. For single-core performance we see a reasonable score of 1397. And for multi-core, an average score of 7066. Again, beating the GEEKOM Air12Lite by a fair margin.
Gaming Benchmarks
While not a gaming mini PC, the GEEKOM A5 2025 is capable of light gaming and in some cases some higher demanding games. These tests for the GEEKOM A5 2025 review are performed without any FSR or graphics tweaks to give a standard benchmark across different mini PCs.
Forza Horizon 5
In Forza Horizon 5 we ran on the Very Low graphics settings and got 65 FPS and 41 FPS at 720P and 1080P respectively.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
For Shadow of the Tomb Raider on the Lowest graphics settings we got 53 and 33 FPS at 720P and 1080P respectively.
Benchmark Summary
While we did not see the highest benchmark results, we do need to keep in mind this is a sub $300 mini PC. It is being compared to mini PCs for office work that cost ranging from $500 to $800. As a low-cost budget mini PC, the benchmark results are actually very impressive and competitive in price vs performance.

Time to sum up our thoughts of the GEEKOM A5 2025 review. The GEEKOM A5 2025 as a $300 mini PC represents excellent value for money when compared to the more expensive models.
