So today we were at the office today on our RG353P retro gaming consoles and while we were playing we were having a very long and stressful debate on what the best games were on the the Mega Drive. So we wanted to share our (not biased at all) opinions on what the top 5 mega drive games are. Whether it was due to the gameplay, design, or just through sheer nostalgia lenses, we want to see if you agree with us!
1 : Sonic the Hedgehog
Released in 1991 and quickly becoming one of the best selling video games of all time. The original sonic the hedgehog game became a key player in the 16-bit era of games. the gameplay centering on sonics ability to run a high speeds through spring slops and bottomless pits, we think this 100% is the best game on the mega drive, no matter where you are with the RG353P retro console and with the game being very accessible regardless of age, you can easily pull out this game and play to your hearts content.
2 : Gunstar Heroes
Ce jeu de course et de tir est sorti en 1993. Gunstar heroes a été un succès critique, loué pour son action frénétique et ses graphismes en avance sur son temps. Ce jeu peut être joué en solo ou en coopération. Vous incarnez Gunstar Red et luttez contre un empire maléfique pour le contrôle d’un ensemble de pierres précieuses très puissantes mais très ambiguës. Le jeu est également très flexible, puisque vous pouvez choisir de le jouer dans n’importe quel ordre et dans deux styles de jeu différents. Ce jeu est idéal pour tous ceux qui apprécient le type de jeu farfelu et aléatoire qui vous donne la liberté de faire vos propres choix sur la façon d’être farfelu et aléatoire.
3 : Streets of rage 2
Streets of rage 2 is a side-scrolling beat-em up released by Sega in 1992. This game was hailed as its game engine was maturing, it had more intricate fight moves than its predecessor, a great soundtrack and having more cartridge space which allowed for smoother more vibrant graphics. With a variety of stages and bosses, you will never be bored while playing this sick game on the RG353P retro console.
4 : Shinobi 3 : Le retour du maître ninja
Pour ceux d’entre vous qui veulent un jeu avec un plafond de compétences élevé, Shinobi 3 est un excellent choix. Par rapport à son prédécesseur, l’action est incroyablement plus fluide, l’accent étant mis sur la vitesse, vous êtes équipé d’une panoplie de mouvements et de techniques ninja délirantes. vous pouvez utiliser la foudre comme bouclier, invoquer des dragons enflammés, et même augmenter la hauteur à laquelle votre personnage peut sauter. Ce jeu, bien qu’il soit moins difficile que son prédécesseur, offre un plafond de compétences élevé et un assortiment de façons de jouer.
5 : Thunder Force 3
Enfin, nous avons thunder force 3 pour tous les enthousiastes de la science-fiction spatiale ! Sorti en 1990, Thunder Force 3 est l’un des jeux qui a lancé la tendance du format de scène aligné horizontalement. Vous pouvez choisir entre 5 planètes initiales pour vous frayer un chemin, avec encore plus d’étapes à franchir une fois que vous avez battu tous les thèmes. Thunder force 3 est génial pour ceux qui ont l’habitude de jouer à d’autres jeux comme Gradius.
