We have some news of a change in our shipping options for customers located in the United States. This decision has been made due to the ongoing and unpredictable nature of tariff negotiations between the USA and China.
As you may be aware, the frequent fluctuations in tariffs imposed on products from China are creating significant challenges for us in maintaining a consistent and reliable shipping experience. Previously, we offered DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping, where taxes were calculated and included at checkout, ensuring you wouldn’t face any unexpected customs charges upon arrival.
However, the recent volatility in tariff rates means that a tariff of, for example, 20% applied one day could unexpectedly rise to 50% the next. In such instances, despite our best efforts with using DDP to predict and correctly collect taxes and duties during checkout, customers could unfortunately still be required to pay the difference in tariffs upon their package entering the USA.
To avoid these potential unexpected costs and complications for our valued US customers, DROIX has made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend DDP as a shipping option for orders being delivered to the USA.
What this means for you:
Moving forward, when placing an order for delivery to the USA, you will be responsible for paying any applicable duties, taxes, and customs fees levied by US customs. These charges will be requested by the relevant authorities upon the arrival of your shipment.
We understand this change may be inconvenient, and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly. We believe this adjustment will ultimately provide a more transparent and predictable shipping process for our US customers during this period of tariff uncertainty.
