Back in Janurary, we at DroiX ran a short article sharing images of ANBERNIC’s rumored windows gaming handheld that had been leaked online. As part of the patent filing process, ANBERNIC submitted renders of this handheld’s prototype design.
Fast forward a few months later, and it appears the leak turned out to be true! Yesterday, a short video of what appears the be ANBERNIC’s latest gaming handheld surfaced on Youtube channel DIYGamingModz — who has shared numerous leaks and prototype footage of other ANBERNIC handhelds in the past.
It is allegedly called the WIN600 — although it remains to be seen if this name is a placeholder or not.
The video (unfortunately, filmed with a camera in portrait mode), opens to a shot of a man sitting over a box. After removing a cover of sorts, we’re greeted to a shot of the handheld lying snugly within the case.
On it’s screen, we can clearly see the Windows 10 desktop environment, confirming it will run a Windows installation of some kind (perhaps the final model may feature Windows 11?).
Afterwards, the device is rotated slightly. Showing off the ergonomics, which are fairly similar to the AYANEO NEXT — with the corners of the device being thicker in order to emulate handles.
A second device in a white colouration is then shown off.
What are the ANBERNIC Windows Handhelds’ Specifications?
No specifications have been announced yet for the WIN600. However, the name (WIN600) may indicate that the device makes use of the Intel HD Graphics 600 intergrated GPU. Meaning that the device is likely to contain a Celeron series processor.
When is the ANBERNIC Windows Handheld (WIN600) release date?
No more is known about the WIN600 at this point in time. There have been no specifications leaked, or release date announced.
This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
