What is the GPD Pocket 4?
The GPD Pocket series is a line of mini laptops developed by GPD. These devices are designed to be extremely portable, with a compact form factor that makes them ideal for users who need to work or browse the web on the go. The GPD Pocket series laptops are available in various models, including the GPD Pocket, GPD Pocket 2, GPD Pocket 2 Max, and GPD Pocket 3.
The GPD Pocket 4 is expected to continue the trend with a compact form factor but a change from the usual Intel based CPU, instead going with AMD.
What are the GPD Pocket 4 technical specifications
The GPD Pocket 4 will feature the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor with AMD Radeon 780M graphics. It will have eight Zen 4 cores and 16 threads running up to 28W TDP, the highest running frequency is not known yet.
The RAM and Storage have not been confirmed as yet. But we would expect it to have choices of 16GB and 32GB DDR5 RAM, and a variety of storage options such as 512GB, 1TB and 2TB SSD.
The screen size is unknown but we would expect around an 8″ display like the Pocket 3. Will the screen also be rotatable to transform it into a tablet like device like it predecessor? This has not been confirmed yet.
When is the GPD Pocket 4 release date?
The expected release date is Q4 2023. As we get closer to this date we should have a more accurate date.
What is the GPD Pocket 4 price?
No price has been announced yet. We would expect it to be in the range of the Pocket 3 of around $1,000.
