The Anbernic RG353V and RG353VS retro gaming consoles provide a choice of dual boot Linux & Android operating systems or Linux OS only.

Both the RG353V and RG353VS feature the RK3566 Quad-Core 64 bit Cortex-A55 processor running up to 1.8GHz. The RG353V has 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB of internal eMMC storage for Android OS. The RG353VS retro gaming console has 1GB of LPDDR4 RAM and no internal storage.

With both the RG353V and RG353VS, there is a 16GB micro SD card which contains the Linux operating system. There is also a 64GB micro SD card which is used for the retro gaming consoles main storage.

The RG353V and RG353VS retro gaming consoles have 3.5” IPS 4:3 display with 640×480 resolution. The RG353V model is touchscreen for use with Android, the VS model is not. Both displays are bright and vibrant and are the perfect resolution for retro gaming.

Measuring just 4.9 x 3.2 x 0.8 inches (12.6cm x 8.3cm x 2.1cm) and weighing 193g, the vertical orientation RG353V and VS models are very light and pocketable. Despite the small size, full gaming controls are present with dual clickable analogue sticks, D-Pad and gaming buttons. On the back of the retro gaming console are left and right shoulder and trigger style buttons.

The fast and reliable WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 get you online for updating game information as well as playing compatible retro gaming systems with others online. The HDMI output is great for large screen gaming with your retro gaming console.

Both models of retro gaming console are powered by a 3200mAh li-polymer battery. Depending on which retro console you are running, you can expect up to six hours battery life on the RG353V and RG353VS. In our tests we got 3 hours 46 minutes running a benchmark on loop which is very good!

The RG353V and RG353V offers a great choice of dual boot or Linux only operating systems depending. They support many classic consoles from the earliest up to more recent 2000’s handhelds. With the very respectable battery life this retro gaming console is ideal for quick pick up and play while commuting or travelling!
