You will be amazed ..

High Lag Ratio and Non-Expandable Ram

The frontside bus on this pc is only 100MHz (ie. Motherboard Speed). Considering the Cpu runs at 1GHz (2 Cores yields 2GHz) and the RAM is running at 1GHz, this gives a speed ratio of 1:10. The motherboard is 10 times slower than the RAM, this may not be suitable for fast game playing, it does not support 4K resolutions or higher. Also, you cannot expand the RAM internally as there are no slots. The USB sockets are close together, two devices side by side tended to interfere, obstruct each other. Sorry, but this system could have been better designed.

Hi there Scotty! We're sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the BT3-X.

We must inform you that the BT3X is among the cheapest of the mini PC's in our inventory! It is a budget model that is primarily intended for the most basic of use cases (i..e, you or someone else just needs a PC for handling emails or online shopping).

If you're looking for faster models of mini PC with more overall functionality, we suggest a more mid-range model, such as the Beelink SEI 10, which you can check out here: https://droix.net/product/beelink-sei10-mini-pc/

Additionally, provided you are within our refund period, please feel free to reach out to our support team at support@droix.co.uk, and we will be happy to offer you a return for refund!

Kind Regards,

Very good

So good I bought another one

Beelink GK Mini

Device was acquired to run an Astronomical Observatory and needed to be low power (able to run off 12 volt observatory power supply).
The quad core Celeron J4125 processor 8GB's ram and 256GB M.2 SSD copes well with the loads resulting from running DSO acquisition software (N.I.N.A) and associated hardware and drivers and I would strongly recommend this device for this purposes.
One thing to watch out for is BIOS version. My unit was supplied with Bios American Megatrends Inc. GB6 0.03, 06/04/2021 which contained a bug preventing the device from booting normally. This is documented on the beelink website. There is a bios update to version American Megatrends Inc. GB6 0.03, 25/05/2021 available from the Beelink website that fixes' the issue. Would have been 5 stars if not for the bios issue.
