Miyoo Mini Plus+ Stock Update

In the interests of transparency at DroiX we would like to provide an update on the Miyoo Mini Plus stock and customers pre-orders.

We have seen a large number of complaints on social media, including Reddit and Discord, that after a short period of usage that the display is physically detaching from the Miyoo Mini Plus case.

We received a small initial batch of 20 Miyoo Mini Plus from one of our suppliers earlier this week, ahead of the larger batch to fulfil all pre-orders. We have tested the initial batch of 20 over a two-day period, 12 of these devices had the reported issue with the display being detached from the device.

We were not happy with the quality of the batch and have since returned all of them back and cancelled the larger order from the supplier as they were from the same batch.

We first read of the display issue a week or two ago. But by this time, all stock of the Miyoo Mini Plus+ from multiple suppliers we use and have contacted, have already been purchased until May.

However, one supplier we use will send a batch of 120 units of the latest hardware revision which includes the fixed displays. We are expecting these to arrive in the mid-April timeframe.

In this first 120 units, we will have available a larger number of White colours, with a lower mix of Retro Grey and Black units, unfortunately, no Atomic Purple units. 120 units is not enough to cover all of the pre-orders we have received, so we have allocated them in chronological order when the customer placed their pre-order with us.

We have already contacted customers that ordered a different colour with an offer of a White Miyoo Mini Plus instead of their chosen colour OR the Anbernic RG35XX at a special discounted price to make up for this delay. We have put a deadline of Monday to hear back from them, and if no reply is received we will contact the next customer on the list to offer them instead.

Providing a high quality product is our highest priority at DroiX. Because of the high number of failures in this batch, we are not prepared to sell these to our customers. We apologise for these delays and we hope you can understand why we chose not to sell the initial batch.
