Solid little handheld, plays the things I want it to!

Plays PS1, and the specific Dreamcast and PSP games I'll want to play (Fighting games, arcade games and RPGs). Feel in my hands is nice. Can't really complain. I could see the analogue sticks not being ideal for some users but fine for me (you might be able to guess I don't use them much). Screen is nice for my purposes, on the whole it's a pretty nice device.

Haven't properly checked but looks like they put a slightly updated version of the stock firmware which was pretty good when compared to my RG28XX bought at launch. (Long story why I got the H, don't let your kids handle your devices until they're confident with things!)

I've said in a trust pilot review but I'd genuinely recommend getting from Droix over direct from China. Less of a wait and works out at pretty much the same price since postage is less.

Great little handheld from 8bit - PS1 (with a side of psp and dreamcast)

SIZE:
Comfortable unit but in a more compact size, I feel like even a switch and switch lite are far too big to be considered fully portable system, size is very important and the RG35XXH is a perfect size its around the same height and width as my 6inch phone. Had a few sessions on that were over an hour or two and did not feel any sort strain on my hands (but depending on what game you are playing, i have found something like MONSTER HUNTER which it can play very well on the PSP emulator to be quite uncomfortable after a while as your hands are cramped using the controls)

POWER:

The trade-off for having a smaller more compact system is it's not going to be as powerful as say a retriod pocket 3 or 4, will be very clear and say this is a system for playing pretty much any retro system from 8bit days up to PS1/GBA all these systems run flawlessly there might be the odd dropped frame or what on ps1 in very demanding games but 99% of the time ps1 will run good. So if that sounds like the majority of games you would like to play then i highly recommend the RG35XXH. The icing on the cake is that it can also play dreamcast and psp but this is where you get into the limits of the system, its really game by game basis on these systems some games run fine for example PERSONA 2 on psp runs very well and has no issues, i played MONSTER HUNTER PORTABLE 3rd and that also ran great. TEKKEN 5 has some drops but its like 95% of the time its full speed and 60fps where TEKKEN 6 just flat out is not playable very low frame rate and speed. There might be other games that have some dropped FPS and sound glitches here and there its really just a play and see , and the same can be said from dreamcast but id say that has even less compatibility. I played CRAZY TAXI 2 and it ran around 40fps which i could accept and it was a fun experience but others might not. If you really want to play these systems id advise going for a different retro handheld but if you are like me and mainly want it for GBA, PS1, NES ect its like a little added bonus it can also play psp and dreamcast games.

OVERALL:
Great little retro handheld, love the form factor - screen is good, its comfortable, size is perfect for me as i want a smaller system that i can take anywhere and not have to worry. The range of games it can play are perfect for me and exactly what i wanted it for, the fact it can also play some psp and dreamcast is an added bonus. I think i would give it 4.5 stars , if it just could play psp a bit better it would be perfect but then you are always going to be searching for more power and you just have to accept the limits of whatever system you get.
