RETROID Pocket 2

This is my first retro handheld. I have previously set up retropie on raspberry pi4. In comparison this was a little easier to set up. You still need to know what you are doing and it takes an investment of time to get everything up and running. So far I've been able to get most older consoles up and running such as SNES and Megadrive etc.. without any problems or tweaking. Still working on playstation, N64 and Saturn. Dreamcast working perfectly. There is a great set up guide on YouTube which really helped with a lot of things I couldn't work out myself. Im still working through the tutorials and setting things up and tweaking settings. Overall for the price it's the best value for what it can do compared to other handhelds in this price range. What it can do for the price is pretty amazing really. I wanted to try an entry level handheld before I committed to something more expensive like the AYN Odin Pro but to be honest I don't see me requiring anything else for some time now. Really pleased I bought this as I feel for what I wanted it to do the other handhelds on the market would have been an unnecessarily expensive purchase. I don't require it to play anything above Dreamcast/playstation so it suits my needs perfectly. Good build quality. Battery life looks good so far. Screen and picture is good for this price range. The controllers are responsive and comfortable to use. Touch screen is fit for purpose. I can't fault it at all, for my needs at least. As for Droix: item delivered as described and earlier than expected!

Placed my first order on Wednesday, item arrived next day. Was well packed, had a nice handy info sheet. Honestly everything was great.

Takes a lot of setup time, but once working is really good. The screen brightness adjustment doesn’t go down far enough: late night sessions aren’t very comfortable because the screen is just too bright.

really happy with it, the build quality is great, i was expecting it to be cheap and flimsy but it isnt. It takes some getting used to but once you know your way around it, you can have a blast.

Love it works well.

If you want an inexpensive device to play the classic 16bit era stuff flawlessly, playable but glitchy N64/PS1 and choppy/sluggish DC/PSP with an option for HDMI out and WiFi for Retro Achievements then this is highly recommended. However it won't do this out of the box, you'll need to invest some serious time into setting things up and tinkering. DIG plus Retroarch works great for me. Now I'm past the tinkering stage and getting my portable Retro fix.

Runs loads of games.

My indigo Retroid arrived this morning and after following some guides on YouTube I'm all set up. Great console so far (already sank a couple of hours into Billy Hatcher) and a great fast experience with Droix!
