Little box of power!

A surprisingly effective handheld gaming device. Good build quality, feels solid but not heavy when in use. Screen is clear and bright. Buttons feel nice and responsive. Sound quality is good on the in-built speakers but you can use a Bluetooth headset as well.

As an Android device it comes with all the app and customisation options you'd expect so there's plenty to tinker with. Comes with a number of preinstalled apps but I'd say it's best to look online to see how to get the best setup. Minimal setup out of the box however if you want to get right into it.

Overall very pleased with this as a retro gaming enthusiast and really it can't be beat at this price point with the sheer amount of functionality it gives you. Highly recommended!

Very good but a pain initially

In terms of the actual handheld is say it’s 4.5, only really let down by the slightly weird right stick (the gate feels off or something), kinda wish it was another like the left stick but it is barely used anyway. As for set up I kept getting a load of errors and never actually got it to work as intended, instead I just boot into RetroArch and do everything in there because I couldn’t get the launcher with the nice thumbnails to work properly, and when I did it had 2 warnings to dismiss every time etc. Now that I’ve found a way to use it though and the controls are correct if feels very good to play with, and the battery life seems insane currently. I had 3.5 hours on the train playing earlier this week with Bluetooth headphones and it was still only down to 86%. Overall, very happy with the console, looking forward to playing some other emulated consoles once I work out how to get them rolling.

Forward leap in emulation

Initial impressions first: this is not some cheap plastic toy, this is a well-constructed, solid console that oozes build quality.
The supplied emulators are disappointing in that they're the 'lite' versions of many but Retroarch saves the day. Make sure when buying that you actually know how to set up emulation or you're going to get bogged-down in the mire of rom location and tinkering. Some people enjoy the tinkering and incremental adjustments to eke-out best performance of more modern games. If so, this is the machine for you. Thank goodness for the myriad online self-help tutorials. Once set-up and running, this will be the first console you'll rescue if you're house is on fire. It's that good.

I’m using this product on a near daily basis and am pretty impressed.
Because it’s using android there’s a lot of options to download emulators from the google play store, in the rare cases where the pre installed emulator cores within retro arch dont run.

The battery life is great, and the device feels premium.
