The GPD WIN MAX 2 brings both work and gaming together in a high-performance handheld gaming PC.
The GPD WIN MAX 2 measures 8.9 x 6.2 x 0.9 inches (22.7 × 16.0 × 2.3 cm) when folded and weighs 1005 grams making this an extremely portable handheld gaming PC, easily fitting into a laptop style bag or case.
The GPD WIN MAX 2 features the high-performance AMD Ryzen 7 6800U processor that has eight cores and sixteen threads running up to 4.7GHz between a configurable 15W-28W TDP. For amazing looking smooth visuals on this handheld, the AMD Radeon 680M provides up to 2.2GHz of power.
The GPD WIN MAX 2 supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5-6400 MT/s RAM and up to 2TB of SSD supporting up to m.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 2280 SSD. There is an additional slot on the rear of the Windows Handheld for up to 2TB m.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD.
The GPD WIN MAX 2 opens to reveal a 10.1” IPS touchscreen with a default resolution of 1920×1200, supporting up to 2560×1600 resolution. It is a high-quality display and AAA Windows games look amazing running on it. Below is a 2MP 1612×1212 super wide-angle camera with built in microphone. There is a backlit QWERTY keyboard and Microsoft precision touchpad for input.
No handheld gaming PC would be complete without gaming controls. Underneath two discreet removeable panels are your full gaming controls. There are dual hall effect sensor analogue sticks, a gaming D-Pad and controls including hall effect triggers. There are two additional buttons on the back of the GPD WIN MAX 2 which can be configured.
There is fast 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 and via a separately purchased module there is a 4G LTE support for mobile data. The GPD WIN MAX 2 handheld gaming PC features a USB Thunderbolt 4 port for high-speed data including use with an external graphics card (eGPU) for even faster performance. There is a built-in HDMI 2.1 for dual monitor display.
Powering the GPD WIN MAX 2 is a 67Wh Li-polymer battery providing up to 14 hours of light use, 6-8 hours moderate use and 3 hours of heavy use. In our own tests on the handheld we ran Cinebench on full load at maximum brightness and got 2 hours 5 minutes.
The GPD WIN MAX 2 is an amazing combination for work and play with a great battery life. By day you can work with highly demanding office documents and then simply remove the two panels to reveal a gaming powerhouse!
