I received a unit with the box open with traces of use and with errors, it turns off constantly with a blue screen, the screen stays dark, it took a month to arrive and they only offered me a micro 5% discount for all of this, I do not plan to remove this until I am adequately compensated.

Almost perfect

For me personally thy ONLY downside so far is the fans/temp. The console gets pretty warm and the fan does get pretty noisy. Another thing worth mentioning is its weight, my friend said it’s heavy but I think it’s that nice quality item weight. So far I really do like it.

Received the device very fast and works well. Its unique compares to the other PC handheld since this is the smallest one. The tiny mouse pad and slide up keyboard is my favourite feature. Do note that I ran into a small issue with display, but a reset of the bios fixed it. Droix support is very reliable and helpful. Overall money well spent and this device is probably my favourite thing I have purchased in a while.

As with all reviews it is just like a psp. I did see a video review about the screen flickering from sliding the screen to use the keyboard. Hopefully I won‚Äôt have that issue. I do enjoy the product.

A mighty compact device

So far so good. I have the 7840u 32GB RAM and I use it as both a working station and a gaming console and it runs every software I tested pretty fast. So performance-wise it is great, however, I have faced a minor issue so far which is sometimes the device does not turn on, the blue LCD turns on but the screen does not. In order to fix this I have to hold the power button for around 10 sec and after that it turns on. So far it happened three times, once for turning the device on and twice after it went to sleep.

No issues on the newer models

I was dreading receiving a device with all the plagued issues I read about but so far I’ve only had to update the AMD drivers which was super easy. I got some dead triggers on a couple of clicks but nothing major. I still worry about time tested issues but DROIX offers a warranty to not to much worry. Pull the trigger, you won’t regret it. I couldn’t imagine having a shatty ally or steam deck over this Godzilla of handhelds.

New to Handheld PCs - Love the Portability

I ordered this device to replace my laptop, which is a relatively old/plain Lenovo Yoga with a dedicated Nvidia GTX 1050. It has been my primary PC for several years. I wanted portability, hence the laptop, but this device is next level. Replacing a more bulky laptop and power brick with this device and USB-C charging is pretty great! I primarily used the laptop for work but the Win 4 2023/7840u is quickly replacing my laptop for everything - and giving me more opportunities for gaming. I use the following setups: 1. It works well for work with a USB-C hub and my dual monitor setup 2. Great as a standalone device on the couch/on the go 3. Fun with Xreal Air glasses – though I do not advise those types of glasses for reading lots of text due to lens distortion This device has performed above my expectations in all use cases, so I can’t complain much but here are a few things to know before you buy: 1. The sticks are ALPS and will wear out over time – if you own Nintendo Switch Joy Cons, you may be familiar with the drift issue that occurs over time. There is also a large dead-zone issue by default/out of the box. I have hall effect sticks on hand but have not installed them yet; however, my understanding is that GPD has released a dead-zone fix. 2. There have been QC issues noted with the stock thermal paste installation – at least with the 6840u variant. You may want to redo this yourself. 3. To achieve peak performance, you need to use the maximum power draw – 28w to 30w – which will drain the battery in about 1-2 hours. So, don’t expect to game a ton away from an outlet. 4. Both USB-C ports support video and charging! 5. You need high-end USB-C cables to power this device or to support video output – don’t expect a $10 cable from the gas station to cut it. 6. The screen is about as small as a typical phone. The resolution is good, and games look great at medium settings or less. I have found the screen to be totally readable for subtitles. 7. The screen protector that comes with the device is trash and you will need something else. 8. You won’t want to use the built-in keyboard for extended typing – but it works well for a sentence and works great for a couple of words such as a password or quick command. 9. I’ve noticed the main left and right trigger are squeaky. Enjoy!

2025 GPD win 4

I have the Ryzen 9 AI HX 370 version of the device. After a few weeks of regular use I am impressed. It is powerful, small and all around useful. The slide out keyboard is great, though not really for extended use. The only issue so far is it gets a little hot, especially on the right side where you would be holding it, though not so hot as to be top uncomfortable. All in all a great little machine

I bought the white one, the colour is very nice and the texture feels good in the hands. Sticks are slightly smaller than the asus ally which i previously owned then sold towards this one. Slide up screen is stiff which is what's needed and the back lit keyboard works very well for entering passwords and short messages. I use it on my transit to and from work on the train while playing fallout 4 and I get 2 solid hours to cover the train while having battery to spare!!! Settings are high in 720 resolution 60 fps. Small enough to fit in my jacket pocket and around the weight of a bottle of water :-)

Amazing little handheld!

The Win 4 is incredibly powerful for its size and is surprisingly ergonomic as well. It's not as ergonomic as the Steam Deck but for the size it's great. And the keyboard, though not ideal for typing loads, is excellent and far better than the Win 3 in all ways. With it being a Windows device, there can be some set up and time spent customising things to get it working right, but that has its pros and cons. You'll also find some classic Windows bugs (sometimes hibernate causes things to go a bit weird) but I can look past that for all the pros. It's not as easy to just get and start playing as some other handhelds, but for enthusiasts it's well worth it for how customisable it is. And add on the ability to pair with an e-gpu and it becomes a pretty powerful gaming PC. Also, fantastic service from DroiX as usual. Always my go to and recommendation for friends.

Ditch your Steam Deck!

Don’t get me wrong the Steam Deck is (was) cool. However….this 2025 version of the GPD Win 4 is insane! It’s an absolute powerhouse of a gaming pc. The design is sooo great, like a PSP only it handles even the latest titles, stuff the Deck cannot. I’ve got my Win 4 docked and plugged into my big pub tv. PS5 controller, Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and currently playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I did 3 hours straight last night and it didn’t have any issues at all. I know it’s pricey compared to the Deck but if your like me, do you want something that will do or something that works? The Win 4 2025 addition is easily the best handheld gaming pc and the nicest that money can buy these days.

Ordered this from DroiX to play games on Bazzite with, and my goodness, what a beast! It can be a bit 'weird' to hold, but you get used to it. The two USB-C ports make it far more versatile than the Steam Deck, and I was able to plow through Doom: TDA on it :D
