The best present I’ve treated myself in years!

Honestly it’s absolutely amazing! You can have this console and will literally sort you out for a lifetime if you love all the gameboy games, mega drive and PS1.

The PS1 works absolutely perfect, just downloaded the 007 games and it’s just perfect.
The handheld itself I highly recommend for PS1 games when you need to use the R1,R2,L1,L2 buttons.

Also that whole thing with updating the firmware with fresh SD cards is a must! Will change the whole anbernic to what you want it to be.

Perfect!!

I purchased the RG351M as a replacement for a RG350 i had purchased before.
The first thing i notice is the improvement in quality, Stunning metal case adjusted button configuration.
And example are the thumbs sticks are sunken slightly so you are less likely to catch them when using the other button.
Addition of reset button and volume dial is great.
Then i turned it on... ooh the joy!! The software has already ready been flashed and ready to go. Looks how I wanted my old one to be.
I do not need to do anything but play retro games. This is key to why i would recommend to any one why they should buy this one and from Droix.
If you are after a retro game device and are not overly technical like me this is perfect.
The review is honest on what it plays and does not play so well with out tweaking, and a fast tracked delivery i did not have to wait.

Excellent piece of kit!

Let me start by saying the build quality on this thing is fantastic! It has a very nice weight and feels very well made.

As for performance, I’m very impressed. It is almost as good as an overclocked RPi4. Runs everything up to PlayStation perfectly, PSP is game dependant, same with Dreamcast - Soul Calibur is perfect with frame skip set to 1 and looks absolutely amazing on the fantastic, bright screen this thing has.

I have flashed 351ELEC at the OS image, although the one shipped is surprisingly good but I couldn’t get the included Wi-Fi dongle to connect. It worked with 351ELEC though and with the downloadable Epic-Cody skin it looks super slick and pro on my black shell. I dropped rom sets with videos/screens/logos folders and gamelist.xml from a RPi build onto the rom SD and it was all picked up by the OS and works perfectly.

If you’re considering buying a RG351MP just do it, everything about it is quality.

I recently bought a RG350 which is a lesser spec than the 351M. To be honest I didn't think that little change would make a difference. I was wrong. The RG351M is hugely different and having the metal case makes it feel heavier and a far better build and quality. With regards to gaming, there where only a couple of issues with certain high spec games running under PSP/N64 but for the majority this blows any gaming performance issues away. Yes the price slightly higher than other pocket consoles but this is well worth the purchase and I would definately recommend DroiX as supplier and Anbernic as the make. They provide high quality goods for a reasonable price!
