So what is the HX90?
The EliteMini HX90 is an extremely powerful mini PC released in the latter quarter of 2021. It is manufactured by MinisForum, a specialist designer of small-form-factor PCs who have proven themselves with high-performance mini PCs like the DMAF5 and the EliteMini X400.
At the core of the HX90 is a cutting edge AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor! This high-performance processor is part of AMD’s brand new “Zen 3” architecture. With advanced manufacturing processes leading to some of the fastest gaming performance in the world.
This processor is also cooled via liquid metal, instead of your traditional thermal paste method. This allows the HX90 to enjoy cooler temperatures when under load.
The MinisForum HX90 comes with up to 32GB of high-performance DDR4 RAM. This, combined with the M.2 NVMe SSD allows for near-instant loading of all your applications. It also greatly increases the multitasking capabilities of the unit.
If the M.2 NVMe SSD is not enough for you either, the HX90 has space for two 2.5″ SATA III drives. These can be either HDDs or SSDs, whichever you prefer.
A particularly useful feature of the HX90 is it’s ability to run up to four 4K, 60Hz displays at once. Through the use of two HDMI 2.0 ports, and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports. Any modern power user will tell you that multiple monitors is borderline essential nowadays, and the HX90 perfectly supports this aspect.
Enough ports are also present to connect all your perhipherals from the get-go too. With one front-facing USB 3.0 port, perfect for quickly connecting a USB flash drive, and four rear-facing USB 3.0 ports for connecting keyboards, microphones, and other accessories.
And yes, it does have built-in Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi 6 to be exact (and Bluetooth 5.2 as well)!
