The RG351V is comfortable to hold, good build quality and has the perfect 4:3 screen to play all your retro faves! Highly recommended!

I upgraded from the RG350. I was hesitant but I really wanted the vertical form factor. I made the right choice. The screen is gorgeous compared to my 350 and the ergonomics are much improved. The power of the computer is much higher and so everything just runs flawlessly, except the usual suspects. Although N64, Saturn, etc work, realistically they are not playable due to frame dropping, but I went in knowing that might be the case.

I flashed the 351elec firmware and that’s a big improvement over the stock firmware. I’m just so pleased overall.

Brilliant build! Amazing options for BIOS. I can finally plug and play my Commodore 64 and Commodore Amiga games.

I purchased this (351v) handheld as a birthday gift (Wood Look), I read a lot of reviews about the unit before I purchased this. I also purchased two additional brand named SD micro cards (FULLY Recommended, in order to install a newer better OS & Games, with the better quality sd cards). I did have an issue with one of the provided SD cards that game with the RG 351v (as they're unbranded and fairly rubbish), but! however this was quickly reified by DroiX and a replacement was sent out, which worked fine. So, I made a backup of the OS & Games provided straight away (getting free games was a bonus). However! with my new good SD cards I purchased myself, I downloaded the "351Elec" OS and used the games provided from the other SD card. After that! It was like a whole new quality system, the RG351v has excellent build quality, the controls are excellent, the sound is also excellent from the 1x mono speaker. It's one of the best "Retro" handhelds, I have every tried (and I've tested about 7 others) and this is the best... the screen quality is top notch, the buttons, joystick and d-pad are excellent (the feel as good, as top company controllers - XBOX, NDS, MegaDrive controllers etc.). I like the unit so much, I'm purchasing one for myself and I've also bought 2x SD Cards (32gb for the OS and 128GB for the Games - SANDISK), so I have the same setup, when my own arrives with the "351Elec" OS installed. I'll keep the provided OS & Games cards, as a backup. I 100% recommend this unit to anyone who loves RETRO gaming, its excellent for MegaDrive, SNES, MAME Arcade, Atari, NeoGeo Games, Dreamcast, PS1 and N64. With Dreamcast/PS1/N64, they didn't run great on the provided OS. However! that was just the OLD OS, but! with 351Elec OS installed and one/two minor scaling option changes (really simple to do, there is 2min YouTube Videos on this) it runs perfectly, like a dream.. Most importantly is, that this unit won't cost you a fortune and is easy to hold in your hand (ideal for travel on the train, plane or in your hotel from on holidays).

Fantastic device. Very impressed with the feel and build quality. Feels great to hold and the buttons, d-pad and stick are all very nice. Have loaded some custom firmware and some old school classic games and having a whale of a time. Highly recommended.

After watching many YouTube videos on which handheld emulator to buy I found my way to this site and this device through retro games corp on YouTube.

The stock firmware and games included are a little janky so I would recommend replacing the included SD cards which are unbranded with two SD cards from a reputable brand such as sandisk. Following retro game Corps video guide to updating the firmware with a cleaner install took a couple of hours but was well worth the process and the video guide is very well presented.

Once all Roms were loaded up all systems up to n64 run flawlessly, systems like n64 and Dreamcast with some tweaking can run games pretty well, again these tweaks were found through YouTube.

Overall a really good experience, droix were excellent at answering any questions and the delivery was exceptionally fast. 5 stars!

Excellent Build Quality, it runs all the retro games well and is ideal to take on holidays (for the plane or train journeys). There is some excellent custom bios updates for this model, of device out there (well worth exploring, when you buy one). Easy to use buttons, my only recommendation would be, buy a better brand micro sd card, as the one which comes with the device isn't great, otherwise 100% recommended for retro on the go!
